hahaha, i know the news. yeah as you said, he is a man before being a mayor. but i am wondering why he dared to confess that he did it!! anyway, hope new mayor would be a good one.
I guess, he tried to minimize damage to him or his family. if the problem becomes longer, the situation will be worse. It's the same way as Japanese politicians do after scandals, right?
you should be governor after next governor's retiring from his post.

BTW, I read the article about the scandal in regard to mayor of ny city. He will definitely go in resign . He is a "MAN" as well as a mayor. lol
and actually, he will resign from the office tomorrow. March 17th!
